Here are several things to make note of prior to getting started:

  • Your subject line in the message should capture their attention

  • Introduce who you are & what you do

  • What you like about the brand + products

  • Attach a Media Kit (optional in 1st message)

  • Include a call to action

“Hi __________,

My name is Brittany Dke and I’m a fashion & DIY influencer based in Los Angeles, CA My content highlights fashion trends, fun craft projects, and more.

You can also include a recent (and relevant!) achievement of yours to really catch the brand’s attention.

(For example, if I was reaching out to a craft brand, I’d be sure to mention that I’m a part of the Cricut Squad/Partnership when I introduce myself and maybe include a recent campaign I did with them that's craft related.)

Then, ask what you want and be specific.

Instead of: “Would you like to collaborate?”

Try: “Would you like to collaborate on a craft reel on Instagram to showcase how to create fun DIY Projects for the summer?”

Thank You,

BRANDING YOUR YOUTUBE

So your content is great. But is your channel itself visually appealing? If you want visitors to take your YouTube channel seriously and subscribe to your channel, you need to look professional. Branding your channel will also help users immediately recognize your content. If you have a blog or website, you probably already have some sort of look and feel you use to differentiate yourself from other individuals and/or companies, so it only makes sense to carry over that branding to your YouTube channel as well.
