How I Got Accepted into the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program (and How You Can Too!)

Writer: Doctor FashionDoctor Fashion

2025 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for me and my business, Creator Lyfe! I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been accepted into Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses National Cohort 23—a prestigious program designed to help entrepreneurs grow and scale their businesses.

This opportunity means so much to me because Creator Lyfe is more than just a business; it’s a movement dedicated to empowering content creators, entrepreneurs, and visionaries to build profitable brands in the digital space. Being selected for this program validates the hard work and vision I’ve poured into my company, and I’m excited to take Creator Lyfe to the next level with the knowledge, resources, and connections this program offers.

What Is the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program?

The 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) Program is an initiative by Goldman Sachs that provides entrepreneurs with expert-led education, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help them scale their businesses. The program spans several months and includes:

✔️ Intensive business education led by industry experts

✔️ Growth planning, including strategy development for scaling

✔️ Business advising and peer mentorship

✔️ A four-day closing session and graduation at Goldman Sachs headquarters in NYC

How I Got Accepted (and How You Can Too!)

If you’re an entrepreneur looking to elevate your business, I highly encourage you to apply for the 10,000 Small Businesses program. Here are my top tips for getting in:

1. Have a Clear Vision for Your Business Growth

Goldman Sachs is looking for business owners who are serious about scaling their businesses, not just maintaining them. Make sure you can clearly articulate:

  • Where your business is now

  • Where do you want it to be in the next 3-5 years

  • The specific steps you need to take to achieve that growth

2. Demonstrate Your Business Impact

Your company doesn’t need to be a multi-million-dollar enterprise (yet!), but you should be able to showcase:

  • How your business creates economic opportunities (jobs, partnerships, revenue growth)

  • How your business solves a problem in your industry or community

  • Your track record of growth and sustainability

3. Have Your Financials in Order

You don’t need to be an accountant, but understanding your revenue, expenses, and profit margins is key. You are required to make over $75,000 in revenue from your business before you apply. When I applied it was required that you make $100,000 in revenue. The program is designed for businesses that are generating revenue and have growth potential, so make sure you can discuss:

  • Your current annual revenue

  • How your revenue has grown over time

  • Any projections or goals for future growth

4. Show Dedication to Learning and Networking

This program requires 100-120 hours of commitment over a few months. They want participants who are willing to invest time and effort into their business education. In your application, highlight:

  • Your commitment to personal and professional growth

  • Past experiences where you’ve invested in mentorship or business development

  • Your excitement about collaborating with other entrepreneurs

5. Craft a Strong Application & Be Authentic

When filling out your application, don’t hold back on showcasing your passion and uniqueness. Make sure to:

  • Be clear, concise, and confident in your responses

  • Highlight what makes your business different and impactful

  • Share your story—your journey as an entrepreneur matters!

6. Be Prepared for the Interview

If your application is strong, you may be invited to an interview. Treat it as an opportunity to sell your vision and demonstrate why you’re a great fit for the program. Here’s how to prepare:

  • Know your business inside and out (financials, growth plans, challenges)

  • Practice answering questions about your leadership, impact, and goals

  • Show enthusiasm—this is a chance to learn from the best!

Being selected for Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Cohort 23 is a huge milestone for me and Creator Lyfe, and I’m beyond excited for this journey. If you’re a small business owner looking to scale, learn, and grow, this program is an incredible opportunity that can help you take your business to new heights.

If you’re thinking about applying or have any questions, feel free to reach out—I’d love to share more about my experience! 🚀✨
