Revolutionizing Analytics for Creators: A Look Into Mr. Beast's New Platform

The top YouTuber in the U.S., MrBeast co-founded the new analytics platform ViewStats, which is now available in beta. Similar to tools like Social Blade, ViewStats uses the YouTube API to unveil detailed stats about channels that both creators and their fans can see.

Like Social Blade, ViewStats displays basic information like subscriber numbers, estimated monthly ad revenue, video views and how those figures fluctuate over a given period of time. ViewStats is also available as a Chrome extension. Appleby said that the platform will add more tools in the future, including thumbnail analytics tools. As of now, it’s not clear how the platform plans to monetize, but Social Blade monetizes by paywalling certain more advanced analytics.

I had the opportunity to try out Viewstats with other creators in the Creator Lyfe community. For my channel Doctor Fashion, there were a few things that were important to me:

  • Future Projections

  • Estimated Revenue

  • Channel Comparison

A few things that we noticed were how accurate it was for the channel analytics such as estimated monthly subscriber count, subscriber prediction, and monthly views between YouTube shorts and long forms. One thing we found to be inaccurate was the estimated monthly revenue. Viewstats showed that my channel Doctor Fashion makes anywhere from $222-$900 when I make anywhere from $3,500-$6,500. We viewed 10 other channels from the Creator Lyfe community and noticed that the estimated revenue was off a little. The great thing about this tool is you can view your channel projections based on your current monthly subscriber rate. For example, if your goal was to reach 1,000,000 subscribers you can see how long it will take you to reach that goal. Lastly, we noticed that only channels that are monetized and in the YPP program can view data on the Viewstats website. You can check it out HERE
